WeWeb plugin for ChatGPT

Work on your WeWeb app from a conversation in ChatGPT. Describe a page you want to build, ask how an existing workflow works, or request a change to your app's design.

The plugin is provided by WeWeb. It connects ChatGPT to your WeWeb account through MCP, a standard that lets AI assistants use tools from other services. ChatGPT uses those tools to work on your project, and you can review the results in the WeWeb editor.

What you can do

  • Find your workspaces and projects, then choose the app you want to work on.
  • Create pages and update existing elements, styles, and layouts.
  • Work with your app's variables, formulas, and workflows.
  • Manage tables, table views, and backend workflows when the WeWeb Backend module is installed on your project.

For example, you can ask:

List my WeWeb workspaces and projects.

In my Customer Portal project, list the pages and explain what is on the dashboard. Do not change anything yet.

In my Customer Portal project, add a contact page with a name field, an email field, and a message field. Reuse the project's existing styles.

Name the project and page in your request so ChatGPT knows where to work. Start with a small change, review it in WeWeb, then continue.

What you need

You need a WeWeb account with access to the project you want to work on, and access to plugins in ChatGPT. A paid WeWeb subscription with MCP access is required for continued use after any applicable trial. You purchase your subscription only in the WeWeb dashboard, outside ChatGPT. Your ChatGPT account and its usage limits are separate from your WeWeb subscription.

Connect your account

Follow the ChatGPT connection guide to add WeWeb, sign in to your WeWeb account, and authorize access. Then ask ChatGPT to list your workspaces and projects to check the connection.

Connect ChatGPT to WeWeb →

If your connection expires, reconnect your WeWeb account through ChatGPT and sign in again. Enter your credentials on the WeWeb sign-in screen, not in the conversation.

Review your changes

The plugin works on your actual WeWeb project. Depending on your request and the available tools, ChatGPT can create, change, or delete resources. Review the result in the editor and use Preview to check how your app behaves.

If you only want an explanation, say so in your prompt. For example: "Explain this workflow without changing it."

Some capabilities depend on the modules installed on your project. The MCP tools also do not expose legacy plugin actions. Use supported integrations when your workflow needs a service such as Xano or Supabase.

Support and policies

If you need help connecting your account or working with WeWeb, contact WeWeb Support. Describe what you were trying to do and include any error message, without passwords or access tokens.

Read the WeWeb privacy policy and terms and conditions for information about using WeWeb's services.
