Set up email/password authentication

Enable email/password sign in and test the flow in your project.

Steps at a glance

Open Data & API and go to Auth.
Enable the Email/password provider.
Choose your redirect pages for successful sign in and errors.
Set up any email triggers you need with the backend Send Email action.
Test sign in from your interface.

Notes

For email verification, password reset, magic links, and OTP emails, use the matching Event Trigger in Data & API → Workflows → Event triggers.
In those triggers, WeWeb's built-in backend Send Email action is now the default way to deliver the email.
If you do not receive emails, check the relevant Event Trigger run and spam folder.
